The Apple Farms Art & Music Festival will be held on Saturday, June 5th, 2010 from 11:30am - 8:30pm. Come join the fun with The Avett Brothers, Patty Griffin and special guest Buddy Miller. Also appearing: Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings; Enter The Haggis; Richard Shindell; 61 North. This year, there will be a new Poetry Stage as well as a Crafts Fair and a Children's Village. Alex Alampi Jr, Salem County's watercolor artist, has received many awards for his realistic paintings. His inspiration comes from the Salem County area where he grew up and has become a prolific and talented artist with his artwork displayed in private and corporate collections throughout the U.S. Alex’s watercolors are exhibited at many local galleries. The Cowtown Rodeo is on the circuit for hundreds of professional cowboys and cowgirls from all over the country and is only one of two weekly rodeos in America. The 2010 Rodeo season runs from May 29 through September 25 every Saturday night at 7:30 PM. Bring the whole family and experience the thrills and excitement of an authentic American Rodeo. The Salem County Fairgrounds have held the Delaware Valley Bluegrass Festival for the past 20+ years. There is a campground for this 3-day event which will be held from Sept 3rd-5th. The fairgrounds are also home to the Annual Salem County Fair, a Salem County tradition since 1959, and many other weekly events during the season. Click here for more information.
