Salem County Education

Arthur P. Schalick High School is a four-year public high school that serves approximately 700 students in grades nine through twelve from Pittsgrove Township, in Salem County, New Jersey.  The high school is located at 718 Centerton Road, Pittsgrove, NJ 08318

Penns Grove High School is a four-year high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grades from Carneys Point Township and Penns Grove in Salem County, New Jersey, as part of the Penns Grove-Carneys Point Regional School District. Students from Oldmans Township attend the district's schools as part of a sending/receiving relationship. The school is located in Carneys Point Township.

Penns Grove High school is also home to the regional Academy of Chemical and Technological Engineering program that prepares students for engineering majors that they might seek when entering college. The Academy of Chemical and Technological Engineering operates in partnership with Rowan University, Salem Community College, DuPont and various other contributors.

Pennsville Memorial High School is a public high school in Pennsville Township, in Salem County, New Jersey,  as part of the Pennsville School District.  The Music Academy (comprised of a Vocal and Instrumental Academy) as well as a graphic arts Academy are located in the school facilities. Both of these academies are institutions hosted by Pennsville Memorial through the Salem County Vocational Technical Schools.

Salem Community College is an accredited, co-educational, two-year public, community college located in Salem County, New Jersey. Salem Community College's main 11-acre campus is in Carneys Point Township. SCC is authorized to grant associate's degrees — Associate in Arts, Associate in Science and Associate in Applied Science — and certificates in over 40 liberal arts, business, practical nursing, scientific glass technology, and technology programs of study.

Salem Community College was founded as Salem County Technical Institute in 1958. Recognizing the college-level caliber of the institute’s programs, the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders requested approval to grant degree-awarding authority to the institute. The New Jersey Commission on Higher Education evaluated the institute’s programs and granted the requested approval. On September 3, 1972, Salem Community College was established.  Salem County College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, which was first granted in 1979, and reaffirmed in 1984, 1990 and 1995.

The Salem County Vocational Technical Schools (SCVTS) is a countywide vocational and technical public school district, serving the educational needs of residents of Salem County, New Jersey. The district offers programs on both a full-time and shared-time basis in cooperation and partnership with the county's elementary and secondary schools, local and regional colleges and universities, for both school-age children and adults. The Salem County Career and Technical High School offers 14 career and technical education programs. The Salem County Arts, Science and Technology Academies operates in partnership with Penns Grove High School, Pennsville Memorial High School, Arthur P. Schalick High School and Woodstown High School.  The Business, Corporate and Customized Education Center and the Educational Technology Training Center offer programs in management, computer software application, mechanical and safety training programs.

The New Jersey Regional Day School in Mannington serves low-incident and multiply-handicapped students from Cumberland County, Gloucester County and Salem County. Students are prepared for functional living and employment, and may be included in the Career Orientation Program or attend the career and technical education programs that are available at Salem County Career and Technical High School.

Salem High School is a comprehensive community four-year public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grade from Salem City, in Salem County, New Jersey,  as part of the Salem City School District.  The district participates in the Interdistrict Public School Choice Program, which allows non-resident students to attend the district's schools without cost to their parents, with tuition covered by their home district. Available slots are announced annually by grade.  Students from Elsinboro, Lower Alloways Creek Township, Mannington Township and Quinton Township attend the district's high school for grades 9-12 as part of sending/receiving relationships.

Woodstown High School is a  public high school that serves students in ninth through twelfth grade from the City of Woodstown, in Salem County, New Jersey. The school is part of the Woodstown-Pilesgrove Regional School District.  Students from neighboring Alloway Township, Oldmans Township and Upper Pittsgrove Township attend the high school as part of sending/receiving relationships.
